My ah ma invited my mum, cousins and me to high tea one day! Okay we kinda planned it 2 months ahead, because Regent’s high tea is so popular there’s a 6 week waiting list before you get a table. Don’t faint just yet, it’s probably cos they only serve the high-tea buffet on Saturday. Super limited seats each week!
It’s $46++ a head, which is one of the pricier high tea buffets around, but we all had a really good experience that day, so I’ll recommend it if you want to pamper yourself with a 1 X awesome high tea experience. More coming up!
Didn’t take too many photos because I was busy eating and talking hahaah but just some snippets!
Apologies for horrid colours! The manager came over to our table and RAVED about the slow-cooked salmon that is cooked lovingly for 45 minutes, which results in it being melt-in-your-mouth kinda soft. It’s super good. Haven’t tasted salmon cooked this way before but I am loving how it just melts on your tongue and how they garnish it with fresh herbs. YUM!
Cheese platter! All good quality cheeses mmm. I thought there were 8 types but actually they’re only 6! What a cheater layout hahaha. Accompanied by Carr’s table crackers, cheese crisps, plums, macadamias, walnuts, grapes, various jams etc. Cheese lovers, go crazy!
My carefully hand-picked chocolate plate ^^ I liked the tiramisu, it had a really intense coffee flavour. Cookie was light as well, not too sweet! LOVED the chocolate tart – buttery pastry shell with smoooooth chocolate in it. Truffles were well done too! Yums.
Some other desserts. Generally find the pastries well done! And lots of thought put into them. They’re not the typical boring old desserts, and I appreciate the good variety they have.

Looked like a psycho cos I piled all the jams on my plate, but no regrets. All good.
Scones!!!! Fragrant, dense, buttery. Good ol’ scones.
