The Rotisserie @ China Square

When I was growing up, my family used to frequent Kenny Rogers for good, tasty and reasonably priced roast chicken. Plus the corn muffins and generous portions of mac and cheese? My little kiddy tummy was always well taken care of!

But that’s not the point of today’s post!! The point is, when someone told me this place is better than Kenny Roger, I had to try it! Chicken here is soaked in a marinade for 12 hours, before being roasted in the spit.

Man, that long process does pay off. This is a quarter of a chicken. Costs $11 with two sides of your choice.

I picked rocket salad with balsamic dressing and pumpkin + a pesto and risoni salad. Rocket was fresh but I had one cube of pumpkin. I liked the pesto and risoni though! Risoni’s a type of pasta shaped like a rice grain. Well-tossed and very tasty.

Such a balanced meal! I was quite pleased.

This is also a quarter chicken, with potato salad and another fresh salad. Potatoes were cold, not too soft, and not drenched in mayo. Comfort food!

The decor and layout isn’t anything much, but it’s bright and airy, which is a nice respite from work. Service was so poor though the woman was sooo rude and fierce kinda spoilt my experience there.

There’s also an outlet at Rochester! Might pop by during the weekends to check out their brunch offerings.
