Heard many people raving about this place at Millenia, which is starting to have many cosy places to chill at if you venture there. It’s a nice cosy space, decorated with Japanese designer furniture from Atomi. Looks designer indeed.
So after standing at the counter for a while, we decided on the G-Spot ($9), Triomphe ($8.50) and a Lavender Lemon Macaron ($3).
G-Spot is a dark chocolate mousse with dark chocolate meringue and hazelnut praline crunch. You can’t go wrong with such a combination of dark chocolate and nuts, but at the same time it was nothing spectacular for me.
Was looking forward to Triomphe, which is salted caramel mousse with layers of hazelnut sponge, and covered in a glorious looking layer of caramel. The texture of the mousse wasn’t as amazing as I hoped it’d be, but I do adore the burnt taste of caramel, not too sweet but not just a flat kind of sweet, if that makes any sense. Good mix!
And the macaron looked quite poorly done, but I’ve heard good things about it, so we tried it. Flavours came through quite well, strong lemon taste with scents of lavender.
I need to come back and try it again! Think they were having a bad day, especially with the macarons.
