I heard many good things about this place since I was back, and I was just always in this constant mood for Jap food! Bf was also leaving so all he wanted to eat was good Asian food, which led us here on one of the last days of him being in Singapore.
We had a late lunch at 2pm so there was no queue at all and it was very quiet, which I like! Went with my friends another day at lunch time and service was slower and more confused (post for another day).
ANYWAY I HOPE JUST ONE PHOTO OF MY CHIRASHI IS ENOUGH TO MAKE YOU GO EAT THERE.
FULL OF SASHIMI GOODNESS. Every slice of sashimi is so thick and well cut! Fresh and full of flavour. Salmon was salmon belly, which meant extra fatty (hello omega 3) and extra smoooth. I like how they gave a few pieces of aburi salmon – that slightly charred smell and taste was a nice alternative to all that sashimi in the bowl. Other slices of goodness include hotate (scallop), maguro (tuna), hamachi (yellowtail), mekajiki (swordfish). All very fresh as well, definitely above all the standards you find in the Jap food chains. It’s not much rice, but I’m quite sure all that sashimi is gonna leave you feeling very very satisfied.
Do yourself a favour and have some good ol’ chirashi here today!! 🙂
