I’m very glad that Star Vista has opened! There are so many food options there and there’s free parking during weekdays from 12pm-2pm, which makes it perfect for lunch, given that it’s rather near school. Also great place to meet up with friends who have to travel from school. So also very thankful for the Circle Line.
Met up with my girl friends before the new semester for a much-needed catch up session. We roamed around Star Vista early in the morning and finally settled on Jamaica Blue.
It’s a great place to start the morning. Full length glass panels which means sunlight streams in freely, and is perfect to watch the world go by. Interior is cosy, clean and comfortable – will get photos next time! They also have quite a good variety of food and drinks for you to choose from, from tarts on display to sandwiches and other hot food.
Mushroom and Bacon Penne ($15.50). I love all sorts of pasta and I know how simple it is to make pasta at home, but I still appreciate a well-done plate outside. This was creamy but not excessively creamy, tossed with mushrooms and asparagus (YUM), topped with verrrrry crispy bacon. Quite a hearty portion too!
Mediterranean Chicken Pasta ($14.90). Penne with chicken, sundried tomatoes, feta cheese and mushrooms. More comfort food!
French Toast with Bacon and Maple Syrup ($13.90). This was surprisingly good. Thick soft, fluffy slices of bread that had just the right amount of egg in it. Covered with a delightful maple syrup and more crispy bacon! Delish breakfast food 🙂
Latte ($5.60) – smooth, decent coffee with rather well-foamed milk!
Hot Chocolate ($5.50).
