Let’s play spot the difference – can you tell these two apart? Brought the brother out one afternoon and we walked around the Robertson Quay area – stumbled upon Common Man/ PS Petit/ Book Cafe and other places, but I made him go to Toby Estate just because I had one for one vouchers (The Entertainer app!).
Their stuff has changed some a couple of years ago since I’ve been here. Here’s their menu, the rest of it sounds pretty good!
The first picture is the Eggs Benedict done Brooklyn Style ($19). My brother had the Eggs Benedict done Woolly Style ($19), with prosciutto ham instead. I’d recommend the beef version: 2 poached eggs done well, thick homemade hollandaise and an ample helping of their own stewed beef. The beef was definitely stewed for a long time, with each strand bursting with the taste of tomatoes. Very delicious!!
Latte ($5) had velvety milk, not too hot, and a roast that’s rich and not too acidic.
Can’t seem to find my other photos of the place, but I love how it has high ceilings. There are also huge glass windows that let in tons of natural light. Lots of wood, aroma of coffee roasting.. a good hideout along the Robertson Quay stretch. Cosy/ quiet during the weekdays, and alive but not too crowded on weekends.
